June 6, 2006 DSCR Honors Aviation Suppliers for Valued Performance Richmond, Va.—Radco Industries, Inc. was honored by the Defense Supply Center Richmond as one of the Defense Department’s best suppliers at an Automated Best Value System award ceremony held during the center's annual business conference in June. Michael Damiani, CEO of Radco, accepted the gold medal from the commander of the supply center, Navy Rear Adm. Mark Heinrich, and the vice director of the Defense Logistics Agency Maj. Gen. Loren M. Reno, U. S. Air Force.
The firm supplies synthetic lubricants and high performance functional fluids to the Department of Defense. "This recognition confirms our goal as a company to provide the highest quality fluids to our military and other militaries worldwide," said Michael Damiani. Firms that qualify as Automated Best Value System medalists have met stringent quality and delivery requirements established by the Defense Logistics Agency. The Automated Best Value computerized system collects a vendor's past performance data and translates it into a numeric score, ranging from zero to 100. To qualify for a gold medal, a contractor must have a score of 100. In October 2004, DSCR became the Defense Logistics Agency's aviation supply and demand chain manager.
